Drawing comparisons to great performers like M-Jax and Urshur, C Breezy must be feelin pretty slick right about now. But is he even in their league or are people just hyping him up?
Chris no doubt is loaded with talent, but he is human and like all humans has weaknesses. He is easily the sickest dancer we’ve seen since MJ revolutionized dancing in the music industry. But what separates the young Chris Brown from superstar performers like MJ and Usher is his ability to sing during his performance. His last two performances at the MTV Awards and the AMA’s saw Chris absolutely rip up the stage, but tarnishing his sick performances was his poor lip synching. On the bright side, his MTV performance was improved slightly by the small vocal set by the lovely Rhianna who donned an UNREAL outfit.
In my opinion, C Breezy is easily the best hip hop performer in the game right now. His dancing, like MJ’s, will change the face of hip hop. But if he wants to prove himself to be in the league of extraordinary performers, he’ll have to step up his vocals. Check out his ridiculously sick performances below.

it takes way more than good dance moves a cute face and hit single to ever be compared to people such as michael j and other true legendary artist.
Don’t get me wrong chris has got talent but that doesnt means he’s there yet
i agree with you that chris brown should step up his game in singing. even if he can dance that doesnt prove that he can also sing. maybe his voice really sounds crappy without the studio help but i dont know. throughout all his performances so far i have never seen him sing and dance at the same time. i dont think he will be able to be like mj or usher becuz he cant sing and dance at the same time.
I will admit that Chris Brown is very Talented, but to be on the same caliber as the Great MJ, I don’t think so. Chris Brown does have the potential, he does posses the moves. Everyone is right, his singing does have to improve or step up. Chris Brown’s music has to reach all types of people, so far it only seems to be hiphop and r&b community. While MJ’s music reached every person to every generation. MJ”s music is what you call timeless, when you hear the billy jean beat, everyone knows it. In order to be the same caliber as MJ, Chris Brown has to release another album that was just as good as Thriller!!

Chris Brown can’t sing. Even though Michael Jackson is famous for his dancing, he never had to rely on his dancing to promote his image. At the end of the day Michael Jackson’s music is timeless, while Chris Brown’s songs won’t be remembered in a few months.

Anyway, I have to stick up for Breezy here. He DOES sing live and dance at the same time - he’s just not good at it, lol. He needs to control his breathing. The AMAs was definitely live, and he actually impressed me with that performance.
MJ of his generation? Laughable. He reminds me of a young 1997 Usher (not counting pre-My Way) but Usher could sing and had better music. Who was the better dancer is subjective, but neither of them have the versatility, fluidity or grace that MJ had in his prime .. its all hip hop dance steps.
I love Chris Brown with all my heart I would marry him in a heartbeat but comparing him to michael jackson is like comparing ice cream to celery. He is so talented but he isn’t universal he only appeals to young people who listen to hip-hop and rand b. If you went to the amazon rainforest and held up a picture of mj everyone would kno who he is but chris brown has a long way to go but he has the dancing down perfect I lve him so much but no way near mj’s standard, not even close

just kidding… but Chris Brown definitely isn’t the next Michael Jackson… or even comparable to Usher in my opinion. Chris Brown is just the pretty face of the moment, when the next hott R&B singer comes, he’ll be put on the back burner, just like Omarion and Bow Wow. Michael Jackson will never be forgotten, kids who weren’t even born when he was making hits, 3 and 4 year olds, know his music. In 10 years, kids won’t be boppin’ to “Run It” or “Kiss Kiss”, they’ll still know who Michael Jackson is tho, and they’ll be singing along with whoever the new teen pretty face is.
As for the Usher comparison… Usher has timeless and devoted fans… I know all these little girls (as we’ve seen through the posts) are “in love with Chris Brown” right now, but they aren’t timeless or devoted… Just like Bow Wow, as the girls in his time got older, they moved on… it’s the 14 and 15 year olds that want to marry Bow Wow… and it’ll always be the 14 and 15 year old girls that want to marry Chris Brown. Usher’s friends are timeless, girls who wanted to marry Usher when he was 16, still want to marry Usher now that they’re 23, lol… Usher’s fans bought anythig with Usher’s face on it… They have the DVD and CD (and not because the dvd is the flip side of the CD), they have every magazine cover he’s been on from his debut til’ now, they have t-shirts with his face on it, the list goes on… I don’t see Chris Brown’s fans that dedicated.
Don’t get me wrong, i think he does what he does well… and that’s being a singer of the moment, the pretty face of the moment, the performer of the moment… He’s not a legend in the making
