Rapper T.I was in the news this passed couple of days for getting caught with guns…again. Just hours before he was supposed to show up to the BET Music Awards, where he had been nominated for 9 awards, T.I was arrested in a mall parking lot by under cover feds that set him up through his own body guard.

Sources say that T.I told his body guard to get $12,000 from one of his account and use this to pay for the guns which he wanted to purchase. T.I was then supposed to go pick up these firearms from someone in a mall parking lot. Of course, the dude in the mall parking lot was actually a group of undercover cops. Not only did they arrest him right away, they thoroughly searched his Buckhead, Atlanta home and his vehicles for any illegal possessions and found 9 firearms within his property.
Unfortunate for T.I? Yes. Unfortunate for hip-hop? Surely. In an industry where the art form of rapping about drugs, girls, guns, and money is hated by many activists and even parents, this can’t be good for the reputation of the music. Nor can it be good for the hundreds of thousands of fans which planned to attend his concert tour which was slated to hit North America in the next few coming months. Yes, this includes our beloved Vancouver. Sorry people, but getting caught with an army’s worth of guns isn’t exactly going to allow T.I easy access into any country, even if he does get out of jail.
This isn’t the first of T.I’s criminal charges. In 1998, he was given drug felony charges and was later caught for unlawful possession of a firearm while he was serving his 7 year probation for the drug charge.

i think dat they should have let him perform at da bet hip hop awards especailly since it waz n hiz home town i would have let him perform dat nite and a couple weeks later he can goo to court
Why should they let a possible criminal go off and perform and then arrest him “a couple weeks later?” The law don’t work according to T.I.’s schedule….

First of all, Jess aka Shawtii, don’t ever type anotha msg unless you take a typing course first. Second of all, T.I. knew wat he was doin and wat could happen if he got caught. I am a convicted felon and I kno betta than to let just anyone make a run for me. And why would you think that they would let him perform first then arrest him. If it was a white man in this situation you would be angry if they let him turn himself in when he felt ready. T.I. Im hoping for the best, but come on man you contridicting yourself.
