Kanye on Ellen

You’ve heard his music, you’ve heard him blame the President on national television, and you’ve seen him be compared to Jesus on the cover of Rolling Stone. I’m sure many of you have also thought to yourself, if Ye could get anymore annoying, vindictive, or cocky. Well if you were expecting his attitude to get worse, take a look again.

Just this past week, Kanye West appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and had a completely different attitude than we have ever seen.

Hit the jump for for a clip of the interview.

Although he talked about MTV and his beef with the awards shows, he got some things off of his chest but reminded viewers that he wasn’t there to point fingers anymore or to say whatever he felt without any type of filter. This new and improved attitude (in some peoples opinion) could have come as a result of some advice he received from record label execs. Sources say that he was told by his piers to try to be less annoying and controversial (again, not my personal opinion) on this album in order to get those who didn’t like him because of his attitude, to like him some more.

So if you hated Kanye for his attitude or simply wanted to see him switch up the way he did his interviews, the Ellen interview is definitely what you’ve been waiting for. I have to say, I’m impressed with his level of articulation and ability to convey his argument without raging out of control (like we may have had the chance to see in the past).
